Terms and Conditions

Version 1.0 · Effective · Last updated

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Ribhaq — the web application, dashboards, and related services (the “Service”) operated by Ribhaq (“we”, “us”, “our”). Ribhaq is a business tool: it helps small businesses record sales, costs, inventory, and customers, and see what they actually keep.

By creating an account, ticking “I agree to the Terms and Conditions”, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms are provided in English, which is the governing version; any Arabic translation is for convenience only.

1. Who can use Ribhaq

The Service is intended for businesses and for business use. To register you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.

You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under any law that applies to you, including sanctions law.

2. Your account and responsibilities

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

  • Give accurate registration and business information, and keep it up to date.
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.
  • Make sure anyone you invite (staff or sub-users) also follows these Terms; you remain responsible for their actions.
  • Keep your own backups of important records — the Service is a tool to help you, not your only copy of the law-required books your business must keep.
  • Make sure the data you enter (sales, prices, customer details, costs) is accurate; Ribhaq’s figures are only as reliable as what you put in.

3. The Service, and changes to it

We work to keep the Service available and improving. We may add, change, or remove features over time. Some features may be labelled beta or experimental and are provided on an “as is” basis.

We may carry out maintenance that makes the Service temporarily unavailable. Where reasonable, we will try to give notice of planned downtime.

4. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds

Some plans are paid by subscription. The price, currency, and billing cycle that apply to you are shown when you subscribe. Unless stated otherwise, prices are in Qatari Riyals (QAR) and fees are charged in advance for each billing period.

Where a free trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before it ends, a paid subscription may begin automatically at the end of the trial.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

Fees are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law. This includes cancellation mid-cycle, downgrading your plan, reducing user count, or not using the Service. We may choose to offer a refund or credit as a goodwill gesture, but doing so once does not commit us to do so again.

You are responsible for any taxes (including VAT) that apply to your purchase, unless the price already states that tax is included.

5. Prohibited use

When using the Service, you must not:

  • Break any law, or use the Service to store or process unlawful content or to facilitate illegal activity.
  • Upload material you do not have the right to use, or that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or anything designed to disrupt or damage the Service or other users.
  • Try to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems, or bypass security or usage limits.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, resell, sublicense, or build a competing product from the Service, except to the limited extent the law expressly allows.
  • Scrape, overload, or place unreasonable demands on the Service (for example, automated requests that degrade performance for others).
  • Use the Service to send spam, or to harass, defraud, or impersonate others.

6. Your data and uploaded content

Your business records and anything you upload — sales, costs, customer details, receipts, logos, and similar (“Your Content”) — remain yours. We do not claim ownership of it.

You give us the permission we need to host, store, copy, process, and display Your Content for the purpose of running the Service for you (for example, processing a receipt image so it can be read, or backing up your data). This permission lasts only as long as needed to provide the Service and meet our legal obligations.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to upload it. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or the law, or that we are legally required to remove.

You can export your data and request deletion of your account. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service itself — including the software, design, dashboards, text, and the Ribhaq name and logo — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business while these Terms are in force. You must not use our name or logo without permission.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

We may suspend or limit your access — immediately where necessary — if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if your payment fails, if your use risks harm to the Service or other users, or if we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will give you notice and a chance to fix the problem first.

We may terminate your account for a serious or repeated breach, or if we stop offering the Service. If we end your account without cause, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

When your account ends, your right to use the Service stops. We will make your data available for export for a reasonable period and then delete it in line with our Privacy Policy and any legal retention duties. Fees already paid are handled under section 4.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Ribhaq is a tool to help you understand your business. It is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose, and its calculations are not financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. You are responsible for decisions you make using it.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost revenue, or loss of data; and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you.

10. Your indemnity to us

You agree to cover us for reasonable losses and costs that arise from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you upload that infringes someone else’s rights or breaks the law — to the extent the law allows.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. The competent courts of Qatar have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service.

Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, when we add features or to meet legal requirements. When we make a material change, we will update the version and date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.

If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated Terms. We keep a record of the version you accepted and the date you accepted it.
